According to sources, Gävle will host the Library Days conference in 2028. The Library Days is Sweden's largest conference for people working in the library industry. The conference usually gathers around 400 participants over two conference days.
The library applied to host the conference together with Gävle Convention Bureau, a collaboration between Gävle's business community and Gävle municipality. Kalmar will host the Library Days conference in 2027. There were several strong competitors who applied to host the conference.
We are very happy to be able to arrange the Library Days and invite all of library Sweden to Gävle. It is Sweden's largest conference for us who work in the library industry. It will be fun to be able to showcase Agnes Kulturhus, Gasklockorna, Gävle Konserthus and all of Gävle.
The specific dates in 2028 for the Library Days in Gävle have not been announced, and the names of the other competitors remain undisclosed.
