A gas leak from a vehicle occurred in central Uppsala on March 20, according to reports. Police were on the scene at Svandammen to assist rescue services with a vehicle leaking some form of gas. A police cordon was established, reportedly covering areas including Östra Ågatan to Sjukhusvägen and Munkgatan.
Rescue services were alerted about the gas leak, which reportedly involved a vehicle releasing biogas. According to rescue services, a section of Munkgatan was cordoned off pending investigation. The alarm came in around 09:05.
Rescue services stated it was not life-threatening but they had cordoned off the area. Police urged the public to respect the cordons. Information is preliminary and may be updated.
