Frölunda won against SDE 2-1 in the SDHL semifinals, taking the series 3-1. The team will face Brynäs in the final. Frölunda took a 2-0 lead in the first period with goals from Elisa Holopainen and Hanna Olsson.
SDE reduced the score to 1-2 late in the third period but could not equalize. After the final whistle, Frölunda players celebrated by mobbing Swiss Olympic goaltender Andrea Brändli. Hanna Olsson scored her first playoff goal and assisted on Holopainen's goal.
The first final match is scheduled for March 23.
