Defense Minister Pål Jonson (M) has reportedly accepted an invitation to meet with municipal councilors on March 2 in Stockholm, according to Kristianstadsbladet. The meeting will include Lena Wallentheim (S) and Joakim Karlsson (M), who will discuss possibilities for establishing a new regiment in Hässleholms kommun. This meeting comes after the Riksdag reportedly rejected a motion in December from Anna Wallentheim (S) concerning the reestablishment of a regiment in Hässleholm.
Despite that parliamentary decision, discussions about the potential military installation are continuing through this high-level meeting.
