Former Sweden Democrats MP Katja Nyberg has reportedly been filmed driving a car despite having her driver's license revoked by the Swedish Transport Agency (Transportstyrelsen) in January. According to media reports, the incident occurred on Tuesday when Nyberg was allegedly caught on camera operating a vehicle.
Nyberg, who is a police officer by training, left the Sweden Democrats party last year after being suspected of driving under the influence of narcotics in connection with a car accident. She has denied these allegations.
It was wrong of me and I take responsibility for it
The Transport Agency revoked her license after analysis results reportedly showed she had narcotics in her blood. Driving with a revoked license is prohibited under Swedish law.
In a statement to Epoch Times, Nyberg said she was moving the car in connection with street cleaning. 'It was wrong of me and I take responsibility for it,' she stated.
No charges have been filed yet in connection with the latest incident. According to Nyberg, her blood test showed traces of a metabolite, a breakdown product, but not the narcotic substance itself.
