The former restaurant boat Feskar Brittas Kro sank in Eriksberg harbor in Göteborg on Monday morning, according to rescue service reports. The rescue service received an alarm shortly before 7 AM about the boat taking on water and listing in the harbor. By 8 AM, the vessel had completely sunk to the bottom.
Rescue service spokesperson Åsa Opperud stated that the boat was resting on the harbor bottom and there was nothing that could be done immediately. According to Bosse Florell, alarm and operations manager at Räddningstjänsten Storgöteborg, the former restaurant boat had developed a leak. The boat had been taken out of operation at the turn of the year and was not in service at the time of the incident.
