Sunna Harrison-Aziz, a former PC, faces five counts of corrupt or improper exercise of police powers, four of fraud by false representation, and one of perverting the course of justice, according to multiple reports. She is accused of defrauding Christian Dior, Cartier, Moncler Spa, and Currys by claiming not to have received items she bought online, including a £700 Dior bikini, a £1,920 Cartier ring, an Apple MacBook worth £2,599, and an £840 jacket. The total value of goods allegedly obtained is around £6,000.
Harrison-Aziz is also accused of improperly accessing police files between January and September 2022 to make fraudulent receipts claims and carrying out checks on behalf of third parties. She allegedly attempted to pervert the course of justice by hiding her phone, claiming it was broken and lost, then destroying it after a police search of her home. The charges follow an investigation by the Met’s Anti-Corruption and Abuse Command under the direction of the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
Harrison-Aziz appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court alongside co-defendant Edgar Morais, 30, who is accused of encouraging her to abuse her powers. Eugene Nunoo, 29, did not appear due to train cancellations; he faces the same charge as Morais. District Judge Daniel Sternberg rejected a defence application to prohibit reporting of Harrison-Aziz’s identity, stating there were no grounds under the Criminal Procedure Rules. The cases were sent to Southwark Crown Court on June 2, with Harrison-Aziz and Morais released on unconditional bail. Harrison-Aziz has pleaded not guilty to all charges, and Morais denies the charge against him.
