According to major media reports, Jordon Ibe entered his plea at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Friday. The Metropolitan Police previously said Jordon Ibe was arrested at Luton Airport on January 30 and he was charged last month. The specific evidence or details of the alleged assault in Lambeth have not been disclosed.

Jordon Ibe's trial will take place at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on July 14. He was released on conditional bail at the end of the 13-minute hearing and ordered to next appear in court for his trial. The conditions of his bail have not been specified.

Jordon Ibe now plays for Lokomotiv Sofia in the Bulgarian First League, the highest in the Balkan country. In January, it was reported that Jordon Ibe was facing court over an allegation he tried to get sleep medication using a fake prescription. Major media reports state he was accused of using a bogus prescription to try to obtain insomnia drug Zolpidem on two occasions.

It is claimed the footballer used an alleged fraudulent prescription at the Hornsey Road pharmacy, in north London, on May 24 2024, and returned four days later to obtain more of the same medication. On the second visit, Jordon Ibe’s allegedly fake prescription was seized by a suspicious pharmacy worker. The status or outcome of these fake prescription allegations from January remains unclear.
