Folktandvården, the public dental care service in Norrbotten, Sweden, has received exceptionally high ratings in a recent patient satisfaction survey. According to Region Norrbotten, 577 patients who visited one of 13 general dental clinics or specialist dental care facilities in December 2025 participated in the survey.

The results show that 99 percent of respondents reported having trust in the dental care staff. Charlotte Hansson, development manager and dentist at Folktandvården, stated: "Hela 99 procent svarar att de har förtroende för vår personal. Det visar på det fantastiska engagemang och den kompetens som finns i tandvårdsteamen" ("A full 99 percent answer that they have trust in our staff. The survey was conducted over several weeks in December 2025, with patients receiving questionnaires during their visits that they could complete either on paper or digitally via QR code. Participants included patients of all ages, with approximately equal numbers from the 0-19 age group and those 20 years and older. Among respondents, 121 had emergency appointments while the others had follow-up visits or scheduled examination appointments.

Hansson noted that the results exceeded expectations, particularly regarding information provision, which she described as "among the most difficult things to work with" as it must be both clearly expressed and correctly perceived.
