A large number of sex purchases allegedly arranged by a suspected pimp in Ångermanland have been preserved on film, according to prosecutors. The video evidence is now part of the case file as charges are expected to be filed on Monday. Senior prosecutor Ida Annerstedt, who leads the investigation, stated that the filmed material has been significant in some cases.

"In some cases, it has absolutely had significance," Annerstedt said. Twenty-six men from five different counties - Västernorrlands, Jämtlands, Gävleborgs, Uppsala, and Stockholm - have been charged with sex purchases in the large pimping investigation. Most of the accused have admitted to the crimes.

According to the prosecutor, a large portion of the sex meetings were filmed, sometimes secretly. Additional suspected sex buyers are likely to be charged before the case goes to Ångermanland District Court on April 13. The charges against the suspected pimp are expected on Monday.
