The film is directed by Petter Næss and features actors Pål Sverre Hagen, Kristoffer Olsen, and Kristin Storstein. According to NRK Møre og Romsdal, Næss described it as a David vs. Goliath story about fighting for what you believe in and not giving up.
He also said that telling a story about community and creating things together is important, especially in times of individualism. Hagen, according to the same source, called the film a love letter to Sunnmøre and said a positive story about people getting through something difficult as a community is timely. Olsen, who plays a villain from Oslo, said he gets extra heart for what happens on Stranda as the film goes on, and described his character's attire as high suspender-wearing.
Storstein, an extra, said she finds the story of saving the factory truly touching. The working title is 'Ekte kjærlighet', but the final title and release date are unknown.
