FC Kalmar has chosen Örebro SK as its opponent in the quarterfinals of the Swedish Futsal League (SFL) playoffs, which start this weekend. The decision came after the SFL regular season ended over the weekend, with FC Kalmar finishing in third place with 46 points. In its final regular-season match, FC Kalmar reportedly won 30–1 against Ektorp FK.
Last year, FC Kalmar missed the Swedish championship gold by the smallest margin. The quarterfinal will reportedly feature former teammates Maicon Tauan and Leo Mieli facing each other. According to reports, Peiman Eliassi said the SFL has never been this good.
