Aroma, known for products such as jelly raspberries, raspberry boats, and cream toffee, reported a turnover of 451 million Swedish kronor last year. The company employs approximately 100 people and has production facilities in Stockholm, Eskilstuna, and Bengtsfors. The acquisition is subject to approval by the Swedish Competition Authority and the Inspectorate for Strategic Products.
Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, and it is unclear when the transaction is expected to close.
The acquisition strengthens Fazer's position in the Swedish candy market, especially in pick-and-mix, candy bags, and seasonal products.
