A smokehouse has reopened in Valje, Sweden, in time for Easter. Sören Köppe, the former owner, and his son Lukas Köppe have started Valjevikens rökeri on Sissebäcksvägen in Valje. Sören Köppe reportedly decided to restart the business after being asked by old customers, and Lukas Köppe, who had been living and studying in Germany, had similar thoughts.
The smokehouse is preparing smoked salmon fillets and frying herring fillets for customers. Sören Köppe says the best part is meeting all the lovely customers again.
