An explosion occurred at the entrance to an apartment building in Bjuv, Sweden, early Wednesday morning, according to Swedish media reports. The incident took place in the Billesholm area of Bjuv municipality. Police and emergency services responded to the scene after residents reported hearing a loud bang near a building entrance around 2:40 AM.
According to Patric Thelander, the police duty officer, the explosion caused minor damage to the entrance but no injuries were reported. Police have cordoned off the area around the building and reportedly found an object in the courtyard. Thelander stated that officers are going door-to-door to gather more information about what happened.
