Key Points
  • Lorrayne Mavromatis sues Beast Industries over pregnancy discrimination and sexual harassment.
  • She was fired less than three weeks after returning from maternity leave.
  • Beast Industries denies the allegations, calling the lawsuit a 'clout-chasing complaint.'

Lorrayne Mavromatis, a former employee of Beast Industries, is suing the company after she was terminated less than three weeks after returning from maternity leave, according to multiple reports. The lawsuit, filed against MrBeastYouTube, LLC and GameChanger 24/7, LLC, accuses the company of violating federal law regarding unpaid, job-protected leave for childbirth. Mavromatis also filed a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission alleging discrimination based on sex, pregnancy, and retaliation.

Mavromatis claims she worked nonstop following her baby's birth and even while in the delivery room. She alleges she was demoted after complaining about unwanted sexual comments and that top leadership, including MrBeast's cousin and then-CEO James Warren, made inappropriate comments. According to The Independent - Main, Warren described MrBeast as getting 'awkward around beautiful women.' The lawsuit also alleges that the company's employee handbook contained problematic sections like 'No Does Not Mean No.' Mavromatis states she was excluded from meetings and ignored when raising concerns about male colleagues' behavior.

A Beast Industries spokesperson called the lawsuit a 'clout-chasing complaint' built on 'deliberate misrepresentations and categorically false statements.' The spokesperson stated that Mavromatis's position was eliminated when the new head of ecommerce reorganized her team. The company shared a March 31, 2025 Slack exchange where a coworker told Mavromatis she 'shouldn't even be checking' messages after she canceled a meeting because she was in labor. The company also shared a screenshot of Mavromatis's signature confirming receipt of the employee handbook including FMLA policies. Beast Industries has denied the allegations, calling them 'deliberate misrepresentations' and stating they have extensive evidence to refute the claims.
