The competition will be held at Malmö Arena and Baltiska hallen and features the world's best players in both women's and men's categories. Alongside the tournament, the Swedish Table Tennis Association will organize activities for its social recruitment and public health project 'Ping Pong Power', involving schools, youth centers, nursing homes, and businesses.

Last year, the Malmö event had over 21,000 visitors and generated over 25 million kronor in turnover. The tournament is part of the Grand Smash series, which also includes events in Las Vegas, Beijing, and Singapore.
