The highest homicide rates per million inhabitants were found in the Baltic states, with Estonia at 18, Latvia at 24, and Lithuania at 26, data from Eurostat showed. Finland also reported a relatively high rate of 17 homicides per million, totalling 100 cases. The reasons behind these elevated rates remain unclear.

7 per million (92 homicides), close to the EU average.
