Emre Gürler has been appointed as the new CEO and club chief of the Swedish football club Örebro SK. The announcement was made on the club's official website. Gürler, 47, is from Eskilstuna and will take up the position on April 1.
He previously served as sustainability and partnership manager at Eskilstuna United for five years. According to reports, the club's chairman Lars Larsen stated that Gürler was selected from over 70 candidates due to his experience in strategic work and organizational development. Gürler reportedly said he is honored to lead the club forward, emphasizing its strong identity and traditions.
Örebro SK plays in the Superettan league and retained its place there last fall after a qualifying win against Hammarby TFF. The club appointed Rikard Norling as its new head coach ahead of 2026. Jonas Lindegren left the CEO and club chief role at ÖSK Fotboll in mid-August after more than three years in the position.
