According to Expressen Sport, the deal is complete, with Pettersson breaking his contract with Timrå via a clause to transfer to Switzerland. Pettersson was Timrå's second-highest scorer this season with 46 points, behind Jonathan Dahlén, who is also joining Langnau.

However, in an interview with Sundsvalls Tidning, Pettersson said the reports are just rumors, stating there has been some interest but nothing concrete yet. He added that he is unsure about a move to Switzerland. Pettersson has played for Timrå since 2022, scoring 202 points in 320 games for the club.
