Emil Pettersson has reportedly left Timrå IK and is moving to Switzerland to join the club Langnau. According to unconfirmed reports from Expressen, the forward has broken his contract with Timrå IK by using a clause and is now set to continue his career with Langnau, where he will play alongside Jonathan Dahlén. Pettersson was Timrå IK's second-highest scorer this season with 46 points (15 goals and 31 assists), behind Dahlén, and the duo accounted for 45 of the team's 127 goals.
The move is said to be a significant loss for Timrå IK, as it frees up two of the club's highest salaries. Pettersson previously played for Växjö Lakers in two stints, including during the 2016/2017 season and from 2019 to 2021, winning a Swedish championship gold in his last season with them.
