Emil Krafth, a 31-year-old Swedish right-back, is reportedly set to leave Newcastle United as his contract expires. According to transfer journalist Nicolò Schira, Krafth appears ready to depart the English club at the end of the season, with no contract extension expected. Krafth joined Newcastle in the summer of 2019 and has played 106 matches for the club, but this season he has featured in only three competitive games and missed a longer period due to injury.
He is expected to become a free agent in the summer. Reports from late October indicated that Danish club FC Copenhagen has shown interest in Krafth. Earlier in his career, he played for Bologna, Amiens SC, Helsingborgs IF, and Östers IF, and has earned 52 caps for Sweden.
Newcastle currently sits eleventh in the Premier League.
