A horse that participated in a competition in Laholm on March 8 and in Kungsbacka on March 6-8 was later found to be carrying EHV-1, according to major media reports. If all horses that were at the competitions are kept isolated for 21 days, the spread of infection can be stopped.
All horses in the stable that have been in contact with the horse that was at the competition should also be kept under observation during the observation period.
