Ebba Andersson landed in Sweden and was received at a shopping center in Solna on Monday evening, the day after winning an Olympic gold medal in the classic five-kilometer race in Val di Fiemme. According to reports, the 28-year-old ski star left Italy with a total of four medals, including three silvers in the 20-kilometer skiathlon, 10-kilometer freestyle, and relay. The gold in the five-kilometer was reportedly a sweet revenge for Andersson after falling twice in the relay where Sweden lost the gold.
She also reportedly fell in the five-kilometer race but was dominant afterward. Andersson said after the race that the gold meant a lot, and she might have shed a tear if not for fatigue and emptiness.
