EasyJet has launched a new seasonal summer route from London Gatwick to Newquay, according to multiple reports. The route will operate from June 23 to August 29, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with tickets starting from £30.99 one way. According to Trainline's calculator, a train from London Paddington to Newquay emits 15.4kg of carbon, a car emits 47.5kg, and a flight emits 119.5kg of CO2. An easyJet flight on July 28 from London to Newquay costs £41.99 one way and takes 1 hour 15 minutes, according to reports.

In addition to the summer route, EasyJet has launched nine new routes from UK airports for winter 2026, according to multiple reports. These include Birmingham to Agadir, Belfast International to Rome and Sharm El Sheikh, London Luton to Ljubljana, London Southend to Budapest, Newcastle to Fuerteventura, Reykjavik, and Krakow, and Southampton to Paris. The airline has also launched six new routes to Morocco, including Newcastle to Marrakech and Birmingham to Agadir. Furthermore, EasyJet will launch a new Manchester to Bari route on July 3, according to reports.

EasyJet has reopened its base at Newcastle Airport after more than five years, following COVID-era cuts, according to multiple reports. The Newcastle base is its 11th UK base, following launches in Birmingham and Southend. EasyJet will offer 86 weekly flights to 22 destinations from Newcastle, with 800,000 seats available, according to reports. The base supports 1,200 jobs and creates 140 direct jobs for pilots and cabin crew. EasyJet will launch new routes from Newcastle to Enfidha, Antalya, Dalaman, Nice, Rome, Lisbon, and others starting March 22, according to reports.

To celebrate the Newcastle base launch, EasyJet has partnered with Greggs to serve free sausage rolls on flights from Newcastle for one day on March 23, according to reports.

EasyJet has also launched a new base in Marrakech, Morocco, creating around 100 jobs, according to multiple reports.
