Dyson has launched its first-ever portable fan, the HushJet Mini Cool Fan, according to multiple reports. The device can be held in hand, hung around the neck, or propped on a desk, and features a unique nozzle that reduces noise.
The HushJet Mini Cool Fan weighs 212g, according to multiple reports. Users can choose between five airflow speeds, and the fan can reach air speeds of 56mph in turbo mode. The fan is available in three finishes: Ink/Cobalt, Carnelian/Sky, and Stone/Blush. It goes on sale next month, priced at £99.99.
Jake Dyson, Chief Engineer at Dyson, said in a press release that the company has been obsessed with airflow since 2009, mastering air projection, reducing turbulence, and refining thermal technology. He described the HushJet Mini Cool fan as the culmination of that journey, bringing elite cooling technology from home to hand. Holly Holmes, Dyson Colour Materials and Finish Engineer, added that the finishes were designed to evoke emotion and context, with bold contrasts for confidence, deep tones for sophistication, and soft hues for calm, making engineering personal.
Several details about the fan remain unconfirmed, including the exact release date, battery life, noise level compared to other portable fans, warranty period, and whether additional color options will be introduced in the future.
