The pole vault star's decision to leave Sweden was reported by Expressen, which also revealed that Duplantis married Inglander in a civil ceremony at Stockholm City Hall on March 7. His wife, Desiré Duplantis, has not been registered in Sweden since Friday and now lives in Monaco, the newspaper added. Duplantis recently broke the pole vault world record in March at his own Mondo Classic event in Uppsala with a height of 631 cm.
It remains unclear whether Duplantis himself has confirmed the move, what prompted the relocation to Monaco, or if he will continue to represent Sweden in competitions. According to Ilta-Sanomat, Duplantis described wanting children with his wife, indicating they are aligned on family plans.
