The newspaper Giornale di Sicilia claimed a wedding planner had been hired to prepare celebrations in Palermo, including booking an entire floor of suites at Villa Igiea. However, a source at Villa Igiea said rooms for wedding guests had been reserved but the ceremony would not take place there. La Repubblica suggested the wedding might be at GAM, Palermo's gallery for modern art, or the church of Santa Maria dello Spasimo. According to The Guardian - Main UK, Alessandro Minnone, owner of Colletti bar in Palermo, described being honoured to welcome Dua Lipa and said he felt proud that an international star like her had decided to return to get married. Alessandra Grillo, the rumoured wedding planner, did not respond to a request for comment.
