Train traffic between Flen and Katrineholm in Sweden has been stopped since Tuesday morning due to an electrical fault. According to the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket), the disruption began shortly after 11:00 on April 7, 2026.
Felicia Danielsson, press communicator at Trafikverket, stated that the electrical fault was caused by a downed contact line that was damaged. She clarified that the incident was not related to storm Dave, but was likely caused by a train.

Repair crews were reportedly on site by 12:40, but no prognosis was available for when the fault would be fixed. The disruption affects trains on the Stockholm-Gothenburg route via Katrineholm, as well as trains on the Linköping-Sala route via Eskilstuna.
Trafikverket has advised that train traffic is being rerouted, cancelled, or replaced with buses. Passengers are directed to contact their respective train companies for more information.
