Carolina Winterliv, 44, is reportedly taking over Card Group International, the greeting card company founded by her father Peter Hallström in Gävle. According to local media reports, Hallström founded the business in 1997 after identifying a market opportunity for selling greeting cards through stores worldwide. The company, which operates through franchisees selling greeting cards, gift items, and party supplies on consignment, reportedly generates annual revenue of 45-50 million Swedish kronor.
Winterliv stated, 'I have made the company's journey by his side,' indicating her long-term involvement in the family business. The transition represents a generational shift in leadership for the Gävle-based company that has built an international presence through its unique business model of selling products in stores for a commission.
