The Dorotea Kommunlista (DKL) is returning to local politics after a four-year absence, according to a report from SVT Västerbotten. The political group, which has been a significant force in Dorotea politics since its founding in 1994, has presented a list of 19 candidates for the upcoming 2026 municipal elections.
Arne Näslund, chairman of Dorotea Kommunlista, stated that the list features "a good mix of both women, men, and younger people." Notably, Näslund himself is not running as a candidate this time. The group aims to secure seats in the municipal council and challenge the current coalition in power.
