A doctor who incorrectly cleared a large number of heart-sick children in Jönköping is now responding to criticism in a statement to the Inspection for Care and Care, IVO. The doctor states that Region Jönköping County appears to have singled him out as solely responsible for systematic failures in care. " SVT is seeking a comment from Region Jönköping County.
In September 2025, it was revealed that the doctor had incorrectly cleared 78 children of heart defects during his time as an employee within Region Jönköping County. At Länssjukhuset Ryhov in Jönköping, all children treated by the heart doctor have now been reviewed.
One could even see this as an attempt to blame everything on a single individual.
