The ferry company Destination Gotland has purchased the naming rights for the arena for the next five years, according to official sources. The deal includes an investment of 500,000 kronor per year, though the full financial value of the five-year agreement beyond this annual figure has not been disclosed. It remains unclear what specific sports or events are primarily held at the venue or how the annual funds will be allocated by arena operations.
Adam Jacobsson, Sales and Marketing Manager at Destination Gotland, said the naming rights are a natural next step that directly contributes resources to the arena operations and the sports conducted there, while clearly showcasing their commitment. Cecilia Henriksson from RF-SISU Gotland, who handled the name sale, described the agreement as important for the entire association life. According to Henriksson, it is about much more than money, with a major local player showing that Gotland sports are worth investing in.
The previous naming rights arrangement for the arena and whether other bidders were involved have not been confirmed.
