Denmark has implemented new, stricter regulations on white snus products effective April 1, 2026, according to reports from Swedish media. The regulations ban colorful packaging and candy flavors, allowing only menthol and tobacco flavors. Additionally, nicotine content is now limited to 9 milligrams per nicotine pouch.

' The regulations follow a transitional period where manufacturers have been prohibited from producing the now-banned products since July 1, 2025. Major chains with remaining products will need to recall them in the same manner as a defective product recall. 5 milligrams per pouch.

Nicotine is not for children, and therefore the products should neither be colorful nor taste like candy.
