Residents in Gnesta, Sweden, may soon get water from Lake Klämmingen in their glasses after a court decision. The Land and Environment Court has given Gnesta the right to take water from the lake, clearing the way to build a new water plant to secure the municipality's water supply. Construction is planned to start in the fall, with the next step being to sign a contract with a contractor.
If work proceeds as planned, the new water plant is estimated to be operational by the end of 2027, according to the municipality.
