60 per hour, will take effect from April 1, 2025, ending free parking at the site. Nine councillors voted in favour, while Councillor Wooster abstained as chair. Multiple petitions were created against the charges, with one gathering over 2,800 signatures.
In response, several pubs in Queenborough have banned the ten councillors from their premises. The Old House at Home pub decided to ban them due to being fed up with losing local business, according to barmaid Lauren Shorter. Councillors have also been barred from The Flying Dutchman pub.

The Rose Inn manager Asa Gibbarb said the parking charges are killing his business. However, tea shop Bosuns decided not to ban the councillors, with owner Sandra Fowle suggesting they wouldn't even know where the shop is. On Thursday, only one car was parked out of 25 available spaces in the car park, while free street parking nearby was nearly full.
