According to SVT Nyheter, Christian Knutsen will run approximately 700 laps around the fountain at Fristadstorget in Eskilstuna in May. The purpose of the run is to raise money for Barncancerfonden, the Children's Cancer Foundation. Knutsen is an experienced endurance athlete, having previously run Vasaloppet this year, as well as Ultravasan and an Ironman triathlon in the past.

He highlighted the cause by noting that approximately 88% of children survive cancer, while 12% do not. The fundraising target for the event remains unknown.

The date is not 100% fixed, but sometime in May. You are very welcome to come here and run. If you want to run just two laps, you can do that.

Children and cancer do not belong together. No child should have to die from cancer. I believe it is 88 percent who survive but there are still 12 percent who do not make it.
