Lepas is the fourth Chery brand to enter the UK in the last 18 months, following Omoda, Jaecoo, and Chery standalone. The Lepas L6 shares its architecture with the Jaecoo 7 and Omoda 5. The L6 will be offered as a fully electric model and a self-charging hybrid when it arrives around October 2026, according to major media reports.
5-litre petrol engine with a battery and electric motor, delivering 201bhp and a claimed 700-mile range, Lepas said. The EV version has a 67kWh battery and a claimed 270-mile range on the European test cycle, according to Lepas. At the Bangkok Motor Show, the L6 EV displayed used a 239bhp electric motor powering the front wheels.

Lepas will launch three SUVs in the UK over the next 12 months, starting with the L8. The compact L4 crossover EV will debut at the Auto China motor show in Beijing. Lepas says its cars are built around three pillars: Leopard Aesthetics, Elegant Technology, and Exquisite Space.
Future EV plans are supported by Chery Group's global R&D and the LEX intelligent New Energy Platform. " Exact UK launch dates and prices for the L6 and L4 have not been confirmed.
