Key Points
  • Chelsea fans plan joint protest with Strasbourg ultras against BlueCo ownership.
  • Supporters' Trust expresses deep concerns over club direction and lack of clear vision.
  • Managerial instability and squad overhaul continue under BlueCo's tenure.

Chelsea fans have intensified their campaign against BlueCo, the club's ownership group, with a fringe movement called Not A Project CFC announcing two further protests: one on Wembley Way before the FA Cup final, and another urging fans to turn their backs in the 22nd minute of the final home game against Tottenham. The group previously staged a protest outside Stamford Bridge in January involving up to 200 people, which received mixed reviews as the 'BlueCo Out' message was muddied with attendees singing songs for then-manager Enzo Maresca. According to BBC Sport, Chelsea fans have chanted 'We don't care about Clearlake, they don't care about us' as an anthem of the campaign.

The Chelsea Supporters' Trust has penned an open letter to the club hierarchy underlining their lack of confidence in the club's bosses and their vision. ' The Trust also called out the club for failing to respond properly to a long list of concerns raised by a survey of its members, including ticketing issues and fan engagement. On the pitch, Chelsea lost 3-1 to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

We don't care about Clearlake, they don't care about us.

According to the Daily Mirror, they sit sixth in the table, while BBC Sport reports they can no longer finish fifth and are highly unlikely to qualify for the Champions League. The club is searching for a sixth permanent manager in four years after Liam Rosenior was sacked last month. Rosenior had replaced Enzo Maresca in January, while Mauricio Pochettino left Chelsea because the club didn't match his 'vision', according to the Argentine.

Since the Abramovich era, almost every player, senior executive and most behind-the-scenes football staff in the men's team have been replaced. Chelsea handed out a five-year deal to Graham Potter, only to sack him after seven months. Financially, Chelsea's most recent accounts showed a £262m Premier League-record pre-tax loss.

It's f***ing obvious we're building one of the best teams in the world.

Danny Finkelstein, Chelsea board member

UEFA continues to monitor the club under a settlement agreement from last summer that will regulate spending on players. According to BBC Sport, Chelsea director Danny Finkelstein told supporters it was 'obvious' the Blues were building one of the best teams in the world, a claim that those in attendance disagreed with. Not A Project CFC met Finkelstein for a confidential sit-down in February.

' The statement also said that members of four Strasbourg travelling groups—Ultra Boys 90, Kop Ciel et Blanc, Federation des supporters du RCS and Pariser—have agreed to fly to London and walk in unison with them on a protest march towards Stamford Bridge ahead of the match against Manchester United on April 18. The statement continued: 'Supporters of both clubs are invited to join us on this march. ' The statement concluded: 'We believe this could be a seismic moment in the history of football, where fans of clubs from separate countries will come together to do what is right not only for our clubs individually, but for the sport more widely.

We have been asked to accept an unprecedented level of change in the name of a long-term vision that has never been clearly or consistently explained.

This reflects a deeper and more sustained concern about the direction of Chelsea Football Club, and the growing lack of confidence among supporters in the leadership, structure, and strategy that underpin it.

Chelsea Supporters' Trust, Fan organization

Supporters have watched relentless upheaval. Players, managers, staff, and structures have changed at pace. This has been presented as part of a long-term plan. Yet four years on, there is still no sufficiently clear or convincing explanation of how that plan delivers sustained success while preserving a recognisable Chelsea identity. The vision remains unclear, its execution inconsistent, and its leadership insufficiently accountable.

Chelsea Supporters' Trust, Fan organization

Chelsea supporters are not simply asking to win every year. They are asking to recognise the club they have always supported. At the moment, too many do not. This erosion of trust is not limited to football matters alone. It extends to how supporters experience the club.
