A brazen car theft occurred in the small community of Södra vi, Småland, on Wednesday morning, according to a report from SVT Småland. Erik Lundahl had started his black Mitsubishi Outlander on the lawn while preparing for morning routines. When he went inside briefly to help his son with outerwear, thieves struck.
'You don't think it would happen at eight in the morning on a residential property,' said Lundahl. The 2012 model Mitsubishi Outlander was gone when he returned minutes later, leaving only tracks in the mud. The theft has been reported to police, though no tips have been received so far.

Mud tracks suggest the car thief drove toward the neighboring village of Djursdala. Adding insult to injury, after Lundahl posted about the theft on social media, he reportedly received calls from scammers attempting to profit from the situation.
