A replica of the iconic car from the Jönssonligan films is being displayed at the Elmia Custom Motor Show in Jönköping during the Easter weekend. The car is owned by Chevrolet enthusiast Daniel Harrysson, who has been fascinated by the Chevrolet Impala -64 for most of his life. He acquired the replica last summer from Wisconsin in the USA, and it arrived in Sweden by cargo ship in September.
Harrysson is also exhibiting an identical moped to one used by the character Dynamit-Harry in the films, and plans to include a doll wrapped in a rug in the car's trunk, referencing a classic scene from the movies. The motor show opens on Good Friday. Among other exhibitors, members of the Götaströms Fordonshistoriska Klubb are showcasing their vehicles, including a classic Rover 3500 from 1974 and an Opel Kadett from 1979.
The club, founded in 1995, has about 628 members and is one of the largest in the region for enthusiast and vintage vehicles.
