Key Points
  • Captain Tom Moore's house relisted at £1.95 million, down from £2.25 million.
  • Property is a Grade-II listed seven-bedroom house in Bedfordshire.
  • Charity Commission found daughter and son-in-law misled public over book deal funds.

The Grade-II listed 18th-century property in Marston Moretaine, Bedfordshire, has seven bedrooms and sits on 3.4 acres. It is now listed with a new estate agent and on Rightmove, though Captain Tom's name does not appear in the current listing. The house was initially put up for sale in 2024 but did not attract any buyers.

Captain Tom Moore raised £39 million for NHS charities during the Covid-19 pandemic by walking laps of his garden. The Charity Commission found that his daughter, Hannah Ingram-Moore, and her husband, Colin, misled the public by earning £1.5 million from a book deal and failing to donate the funds to the foundation as promised. Hannah was banned from acting as a charity trustee for ten years, and Colin for eight years. The couple maintain they never did anything dishonest.

Hannah Ingram-Moore was also ordered to demolish a £200,000 spa built on the grounds after her father's death. It is unclear whether the spa has been demolished. The current owner of the property is not known, and the status of any appeals against the Charity Commission's findings remains unclear.
