Calvin de Haan of Rögle was ejected from a game against Leksand after receiving a match penalty for slashing. The incident occurred in the second period when de Haan reportedly slashed Leksand forward Andro Kaderli on the wrist, causing Kaderli to fall to the ice. The penalty was confirmed after a video review.
Rögle was leading 5-1 at the time of the ejection. Leksand scored shortly after on the ensuing power play to make it 5-2. De Haan now reportedly risks a suspension as the incident may be reviewed by the disciplinary committee, with a decision expected the next morning.
The status of Kaderli, who was hurt by the slash, remains unclear.
