Our Reward Flight Saver flights continue to offer our members incredible value, but a combination of factors including air passenger duty, increased third-party charges, changing market conditions, and ongoing inflation, has left us with no choice but to increase our prices.

British Airways spokesperson, Spokesperson

British Airways operates from eight UK airports and flies to approximately 200 destinations in over 75 countries, according to reports. According to British Airways Holidays, 82% of its customers are looking for smarter ways to stretch their rewards. In December 2024, British Airways increased fares available to Avios loyalty scheme members. According to The Independent - Main, a British Airways spokesperson described the increase as necessary due to a combination of factors including air passenger duty, increased third-party charges, changing market conditions, and ongoing inflation. The increase for a one-way London to Geneva standard class flight was from 9,250 points plus 50p to 10,000 points plus £1.

The specific terms and conditions for the Avios bonus offer have not been fully detailed, and the exact destinations included in the sale remain unclear. It is also unknown how much the discounts are on selected luxury hotels when booked as part of a package.
