Millie Margetts, a 29-year-old firefighter from Cleethorpes, is a contestant on series three of the BBC TV show Gladiators and has reached the semi-finals. She has made it through the heats and quarter-finals, taking on challenges like the assault course, suspension bridge, and Travelator. Margetts has to remain tight-lipped about how she has performed in the gruelling challenges with Gladiators.
Margetts works as a full-time firefighter with Humberside Fire and Rescue Service and is based at Immingham East Station. She became a firefighter a year ago, having wished for it since she was a little girl, and it took her eight years to achieve this dream. She studied beauty studies at Grimsby College.
In addition to her firefighting career, Millie Margetts is a CrossFit coach and is currently in training for the Marbella Championships in May. She will also be competing in a contest in the Lake District soon. She trains with her partner at Grit Fitness on Peacefield Business Park, Holton-le-Clay.
Margetts has been cheered along by her family, including her mum Lisa Tant, husband Richard, dad Lee Margetts, and his wife Lisa. She has held watch shows with family and friends at The Wheatsheaf in Grimsby and The Rose and Crown in Scartho.
