Nerikes brandkår celebrated the opening of its new fire station in Örebro with a parade of fire trucks through the city center on Wednesday. According to reports, around ten fire trucks participated in the procession, which was organized to mark the relocation to the new station in the Öster district.
The parade started from the station at Nasta and concluded at the new fire station on Öster. Per Reuterhäll, station chief, described the event as "a major occasion for Örebro as a city" and noted that similar parades were held when the Nasta station opened in 1994 and when the fire department moved from Fabriksgatan.
