A fire broke out at the Renström mine in Boliden, Sweden, on Monday morning. The alarm was raised around half past eight. According to the rescue service, the fire is in a ventilation duct in the ceiling.
All personnel have been accounted for, with no reports of injuries. The personnel are sheltered in a rescue chamber 1,700 meters underground, with 72 people reported to be there. Many resources from the rescue service and ambulance are on site, and SOS Alarm reports five ambulances and one ambulance helicopter are on the way.
