A 50-year-old man from Borås has been convicted for terrorizing local residents after reportedly hearing inner voices that directed his actions. According to court reports, Tobias Hjelm was found guilty of intruding or attempting to intrude into two different residences in Borås. The man claimed to hear voices that told him to visit both neighbors and a woman with whom he previously had a relationship.
The unwanted visits to his former girlfriend began in January of last year, with the man appearing at her residence at all hours of the day and night, sometimes multiple times in a single night. He reportedly knocked on doors, threw objects at windows, and attempted to force entry on at least one occasion. The incidents created significant disturbance for the affected residents, leading to the criminal conviction.
