Five people are charged in connection with the attack: two Norwegians, two Swedes, and one Finnish woman. The man in his 20s traveled to Turkey in August 2024 and met the charged 25-year-old, two wanted persons now charged in the bomb case, and a person who has been charged in the same case. Several of the people the man in his 20s met in Turkey are linked to the criminal motorcycle gang Comanches, according to police.

A Swedish man (29) admitted to throwing the bomb into the garden of the family with children but denies that the intention was to harm anyone. The 29-year-old also admits to storing a submachine gun. According to NRK Østfold, the 29-year-old described taking on the assignment because he had accumulated a large drug debt.

I can never live a normal life, because I am seen as a snitch. If I am not killed, then I am dead inside. I feel dead inside. I have no life. I live in fear all the time.

The man in his 20s, Victim/witness

The assignment was allegedly found on TikTok, with contact then moving to the encrypted messaging service Signal. For the assignment, he was allegedly promised between 25,000 and 30,000 kroner. A little over two weeks before the 29-year-old traveled to Norway, he carried out a grenade attack in Stockholm, Sweden, where a grenade was thrown into an apartment in a residential building, injuring no one.

The 29-year-old was convicted last year to five years in prison in the Swedish Court of Appeal for the grenade attack. The Swedish 25-year-old denies having any connection to a Swedish criminal network that the prosecution links to the attack. The man in his 20s sold a car for 900,000 kroner in mid-October.

My life is finished.

The man in his 20s, Victim/witness

According to NRK, the man in his 20s described that the people he met in Turkey wanted to use his used car business for fraud.

I wish not to answer that.

The 29-year-old, Defendant

What I am going to tell today is very difficult for me considering reprisals, but I have still chosen to say it as it is.

The 29-year-old, Defendant

What I understood was that they had had a personal conflict with this person.

The 29-year-old, Defendant

I didn't find out who it was. The only thing I got was an address.

The 29-year-old, Defendant

It is not what you get for harming a person.

The 29-year-old, Defendant

I don't even know where in Sweden they come from. They haven't given me any information about that either. The less I know about them, the better it is for their part.
