Five people are charged in connection with the attack: two Norwegians, two Swedes, and one Finnish woman. Several of the people the man in his 20s met in Turkey are linked to the criminal motorcycle gang Comanches, according to police.
A Swedish man (29) admitted to throwing the bomb into the garden of the family with children but denies that the intention was to harm anyone. The 29-year-old also admits to storing a submachine gun. According to NRK Østfold, the 29-year-old described taking on the assignment because he had accumulated a large drug debt.

A little over two weeks before the 29-year-old traveled to Norway, he carried out a grenade attack in Stockholm, Sweden, where a grenade was thrown into an apartment in a residential building, injuring no one.
The 29-year-old was convicted last year to five years in prison in the Swedish Court of Appeal for the grenade attack. The Swedish 25-year-old denies having any connection to a Swedish criminal network that the prosecution links to the attack. The man in his 20s sold a car for 900,000 kroner in mid-October.
