Bodens HF is one of five teams from Norrbotten in Hockeyettan, alongside Asplöven, Kalix HC, Kiruna IF and Piteå HC. With the season just ended, the club has started building its team for next season.
According to major media reports, Bodens HF has the following players under contract: defensemen Felix Dahlroth and Viktor Arespång; forwards Nils Thomasson, Alexander Wallin, and Wille Åström. Defenseman Kevin Arvidsson and forward Henri Tamminen are leaving the club.

According to Norrländska Socialdemokraten, Jens Hellgren described that they have done a deeper evaluation because he is new to the club. He also stated that they have six contracts out. It is not yet known which players have been offered these contracts or who will be the coach for Bodens HF.
